Welcome to the website for the Adaptive Reuse Plan for Parish Elementary School. This site offers a variety of information related to the adaptive reuse plan for the school currently being conducted by Fairweather Consulting and the DiMarco Group on behalf of the Town and Village of Parish, NY.
This website is intended to provide opportunities for residents and stakeholders in the Parish community to keep abreast of the work being done on this adaptive reuse plan.

Why is an adaptive reuse plan needed?
The Town and Village of Parish recently learned that the Altmar-Parish-Williamstown School District is closing the Parish Elementary School. While this will means short-term dislocation and hardship for families whose children attend the school, the Town and Village also see this turn of events as a dramatic opportunity to protect and enhance the community’s quality of life over the long run.
The Parish Elementary School campus is within 600 feet of Main Street (Route 69). The current options under consideration for the school (e.g., senior housing, education programming, incubator facilities and a community service center) all have the potential to contribute to the community's vitality.
This plan will review the market conditions in the Parish area for various types of uses and identify that use (or combination of uses) that could be supported in the area and create a plan for adapting the elementary school campus to those new uses.
